Twelve undergraduate students in the Michigan State University College of Engineering have been recognized with the coveted Undergraduate Student Service Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Students were nominated by a member of the College of Engineering community and further chosen by the student/faculty committee in honor of their outstanding dedication to the college.

Honoring a tradition since 1994, the Michigan State University College of Engineering will host Spring Design Day on Friday, April 19. The event celebrates Spartan Engineering students’ innovative spirit, is free and open to the public, and runs from 8 am to 2 pm.

The Michigan State University College of Engineering will offer a rare birds-eye view into how students, faculty and industry partners are making an impact through autonomous racing by showcasing the Team PoliMOVE-MSU Indy Autonomous Challenge car.

An MSU College of Engineering assistant professor has earned a prestigious award from the National Science Foundation and grant to support his research. Zhichao Cao, of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, was named in April the recipient of an NSF Career Award. Cao is also a faculty affiliate of AgBioResearch at MSU.

The 2024 Michigan State University College of Engineering Graduate Research Symposium will be held Thursday, May 2 in the Engineering Building and showcase the work of nearly 200 students.

Michigan State University College of Engineering Dean Leo Kempel and Joseph Jorgenson, a mechanical engineering sophomore, were featured recently in a Lansing TV broadcast to discuss the importance of semiconductors.
