Biography
As Director of Employer Relations, Garth Motschenbacher coordinates activities with the MSU Career Services Network in cooperation with the Cooperative Engineering Education Program to develop and implement a full set of services to ensure MSU engineering students maximize early opportunities in the workplace and obtain competitive placements upon graduation.

Vanessa Decker always had a passion for food, so the 2012 chemical engineering alumna knew it had to be a part of her career. “I think that baking and chemistry kind of went hand in hand for me. So, as I explored different career paths, engineering just made sense.”

Engineers have been working for years to develop a more convenient way to monitor blood pressure. Now, researchers at MSU and the University of Maryland appear to have succeeded. Research led by senior author Ramakrishna Mukkamala, professor of electrical and computer engineering, has devised a smart way to detect hypertension sooner with a new blood pressure app. Anand Chandrasekhar, electrical and computer engineering doctoral student, is the lead author.
